IN DOGS: fenbendazole targets: Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis), and Tapeworms (Taenia pisiformis) as well as being effective against giardia.

DEWORMING PUPPIES

Fenbendazole cannot be started until puppies are at least 6 weeks old BUT Pyrantel Pamoate can and SHOULD BE STARTED when puppies are 2 weeks old. Give Pyrantel Pamoate starting at 2 weeks old and again every 2 weeks until puppies are 6 weeks old at which point switch them to the Fenbendazole dewormer administered every 2 weeks until they’re 8 weeks old or every 2 weeks until they go home. Please discuss your worming protocol as a breeder or dog owner with your vet.

GIARDIA TREATMENT: 3 days

Fenbendazole can be used as a Giardia preventative/treatment and it also covers a wider range of parasites. Fenbendazole removes and controls a broad spectrum of stomach and intestinal worms. It is useful against the most common canine intestinal worms including whipworms, hookworms, roundworms and tapeworms.

Treatment of Giardia infections in dogs and cats:

Give Fenbendazole once daily for 3 days. Fenbendazole has been shown to be completely effective in eliminating experimental Giardia infections, and with only mild vomiting/diarrhea as potential side effects.

SAFETY: Fenbendazole is safe. Doses up to 100 times the recommended dose of 20 mg per pound are tolerated without serious side effects. It is also safe for use with pregnant and lactating dogs. An accidental overdose may cause minor vomiting and diarrhea. It is also possible that dogs might experience hypersensitivity reactions to dying parasites. If facial swelling, hives, scratching, vomiting, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limbs or lethargy ensue, your dog may be experiencing an allergic reaction. In cases of accidental overdose or allergic reactions you should contact a veterinarian immediately.

Caution: This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. Do not deworm a dog, puppy or cat that is sick. Do not use this without the recommendation of your vet. Notify the vet if your dog is taking any other medicines or supplements. Tell the vet about any medical conditions your dog suffers from. Only give this to dogs or cats over 6 weeks of age. Avoid use on very sick or debilitated dogs or cats.

  1. This stuff works great. I used it on my dog and cat, and all the worms are gone. Thank you animal lovers for all you incredible low prices and great products. Joan Smith...

  2. I’ve used this many many many times on my dogs and cats. If you check their weight and dose it properly, it works wonderfully. I highly recommend.

  3. Note that this does not work for the most common CAT Tapeworm. But my cats got every bug on earth from my latest adoptee, and this pill got rid of all, even Giardia which is supposedly very difficult to get rid off. All cats did fine, no adverse reactions. Cats were checked by vets after treatment, so I know it worked. Also, their digestive systems were much better after getting rid of all parasites. Saved lots of $ by buying this non-brand name. Thanks, Animalllc.

  4. Can someone please explain...the write up for this specifically includes tapeworm as one of the types of parasites that it kills, yet the previous writer says it Does Not kill tapeworm....? That is what I need it for, to treat tapeworm in my cat.

    • There are many different types of tapeworms that animals can develop. If you want to know if it will remove the tapeworms from your pet you need to know what type of tapeworms your pet has first in order to purchase the correct treatment. Fenbendazole Capsules is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites including: giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, pinworms and the taenia species of tapeworms. The previous comment from KAY said it dose not work for MOST common cat tapeworms... SEE THIS, "Note that this does not work for the most common CAT Tapeworm. 5. The previous fenbendazole pills have been pink and yellow capsules. This time they are solid pink. Is this ok? It's for cats.

  6. Thank you for your fast reply. This product got rid of a huge worm in my kitten last year, so I know it works.

  7. Does one give 16 pills a day for three days for a dog who is 80 pounds? Or is the ratio different for larger dogs?

    • The capsules are of very small size so that they can be administered to all size pets. The dose is one capsule for every 5 lbs of body weight, An 80 lbs dog would need 16 capsules. Thank you Luis

  8. Does the dosage/days given vary according to the type of worm being treated?

    • Hi Sally No the dose is the same for any type of worm. The dose is determined by the weight of you pet. Thanks

  9. When someone writes an post he/she keeps the idea of a user in his/her mind that how a user can understand it. Therefore that's why this paragraph is outstdanding. Thanks!

  10. A person essentially lend a hand to make severely posts I'd state. This is the first time I frequented your web page and so far? I surprised with the analysis you made to make this actual put up amazing. Excellent job!

  11. I have been satisfied treating my cats with this broad spectrum wormer as well as the flea caps, Lufenuron and Nitenpyram. I have referred others to these treatments when they notice how healthy my cats are and seem not to have any fleas. So glad I found Animal Lovers House several years ago.
